Ethan
Ethan is a landscaper and home gardening guru that also happens to own the domain esotalk.com. He is also the ex-boyfriend of Akefa Brewer. Ethan lives somewhere near the Colorado River.
From April 2008 until December 2012, the domain "esotalk.com" was used as the primary domain for the esoTalk forum software. "esotalk.org" redirected to "esotalk.com" until November 16 2011, when the domain "esotalk.org" was used separately for esoTalk gamma or "version 2" of esoTalk. After this transition, the .com domain fell out of use and by January 2013 directed to a landscaping and gardening blog.
Esotalk Landscaping
Beginning in January 2013, the domain "esotalk.com" directed to a landscaping and gardening blog named Esotalk Landscaping. Ethan, the self-proclaimed owner of the site, is a landscaper whose brother owns a professional landscaping company.
Welcome to Esotalk. My name is Ethan and as you might of figured out already, this site is all about landscaping. Now, technically speaking I’m not the “professional” landscaper as that is my brother.
He owns a landscape company and for years has been the only one who does all the design work, bids to customers, organization of implementation, ordering of rock, trees, etc. etc. But here in the last few months he’s been teaching me how to do all that he does.
I think that he’s getting tired of doing it all and he’s more looking for someone who he can trust to offload some of his work onto.
Blog posts on Esotalk Landscaping consisted of how to use water in the landscape, gardening mistakes that should be avoided, and adding to the landscape with a garden fence. By 2015, the name of the blog was changed to Esotalk Las Vegas Landscaping Blog, and the blog posts began to focus more on the Las Vegas area. In March 2017, the blog underwent a redesign which in WordPress only involves changing the theme.
Death of the blog
After August 2020, Ethan's blog went offline. The domain "esotalk.com" now redirects to the website of a VPS hosting service.
esoTalk
Ethan and his landscaping blog have become the butt end of many jokes because it was hosted on the "esotalk.com" domain. Some have gone so far as to claim that Ethan is a member of the Zerner family with the blog being an act of revenge against Toby for rewriting esoTalk! There is an account named Ethan on geteso.org which, on 31 October 2019, made an announcement that he would never stop landscaping. Almost two years later, the conversation Zerndt Ultimatum was created and made several claims: a) that Ethan was on a mission from Toby Zerner, b) that the posts of Brandt Andersen are falsehoods, and c) that Simon was sacrificed "because he knew too much about his creation."
