Spoilers

Spoilers are a formatting option for posts which contain the encased text within a "Spoiler" button that, if clicked, will display the text. Spoilers are provided by a plugin of the same name specifically developed by admin for Esoteric Chat.

Spoilers were first suggested in a suggestions thread, which prompted the webadmin to put together a demonstration of the potential feature. Due to being unreliable, and after realizing that they could not contain media (images nor video), the plugin was eventually removed. It has since been used on other forums, sporadically being re-added to Esoteric Chat.

The plugin is currently disabled, however the webadmin still claims to be working on bringing spoilers back to the forum. The primary issue is due to how the lexer works, thus making it impossible for spoilers to behave as-intended without some serious acking.
