Gooning
Gooning (also known as cooming) is a term used in reference to the practice of habitual masturbation. It is used as a verb for repeatedly masturbating to something. A gooner is somebody who habitually masturbates. This phrase evolved out of various Reddit communities and autoerotic Discord servers in order to fetishize masturbation addiction. It has since become affiliated with a type of pornographic content intended to encourage the act of masturbation as a substitute for sexual intercourse.
Masturbation has a series of negative impacts on the human physiology. First, it changes the way in which dopamine levels are regulated by the brain, thus leading to an altered emotional state in which the individual may only receive happiness from masturbation. Indeed, any repeated activity that involves stimulation can modify the human brain, however masturbation in particular modifies dopamine regulation in a way that is not similar to any stimulating behavior other than the use of various drugs. Repeated masturbation can also lead to a deficiency in zinc, a nutrient which is essential for skin cell growth and the absorption of magnesium.
Several people have employed mental gymnastics in order to claim that masturbation is a healthy practice and have even gone so far as to claim that it is not possible to become addicted to the act of masturbating. In actuality, sex plays an important role in human health after reaching puberty and it is optimal that humans participate in sex at least every few months in order to expel fluids from the body. Despite this, autoerotic behavior, including masturbation, has a negative effect on the human physiology that is not mirrored by the act of having intercourse with another person.

Pornography refers to any form of media which depicts sexual behavior, including autoeroticism, with the intent of sexual arousal on behalf of its viewers. In online culture
Masturbation addiction is prevalent among online communities. Many members of Xat chat rooms, such as Flirt, have admitted to chronic masturbation. As such, several members of the Schizoid Arena server are often lampooned for masturbating on camera, making allusions to the practice, or hypersexual behavior in general.
In the real world, watching and readily masturbating to pornography has a negative stigma (and rightfully so). The phrase "coomer" is used derogatorily in reference to people who are obsessed with pornography. Other terms include pornbrain and cumbrain, but they all mean the same thing: a porn-addicted faggot.
