The Maroney Projects were a series of secret experiments conducted on servicemen of the United States Navy aboard a series of nuclear vessels, primarily submarines.
Subjects of the experiments were irradiated "at levels that were unnatural in any regular environment," and the phenomenon of particle separation led to the development of psychokinetic abilities, such as the ability to manipulate physical reality.
Among others, Neilseph Guard and Georgehannsen were affected by direct exposure to this phenomenon.
